Music Choice - Light Classical

OMG. I cannot even begin to describe how much I love the Light Classical Music Choice station that you get on TV. I'm sure it must sound crazy, but I had a tall Zebra Peppermint Mocha from Starbucks and I'm wired. I don't feel tired though. Tomorrow... errrr... later today, I'm supposed to be going to Disneyland. I'm not sure I'll be awake to handle that though. I feel so motivated when I listen to classical music. Something about the construction of the music makes me feel mathematical and alert. I think I should listen to it more often. Classical piano and violin has been a big part of my life since I was a little girl. When I hear music that I've played before, it is an absolute joy. I wish I were still in an orchestra. A part of me really wants to find a local orchestra to join. I only hope I still have what it takes to play with others!

Monday is My Nemesis

I took the day off work today. I know it's pretty unusual, but I try to take Monday off each week. As an agent, you end up having to work weekends alot. In fact I worked on Sunday, and walked doorhangers on Saturday. Last week I got a call at the office from a lady who seemed really nice, she was trying to help her daughter get in touch with an agent. I was happy to help and I called her daughter right away. On the phone, the daughter just sounded like a dumb bitch. She was expecting twice as much house for the money. Granted the prices have gone down, but they haven't gone down as much as cheapasses would like to think. Anyway, I'm pretty good at working with high maintenance bitches, but she didn't sound like the type. I gave her to my coworker to work with. He's a good guy, really good with buyers. He did all this work and set up an appointment, and lo and behold, when the time came for her to show up, she flaked! If you're not going to show up, at least give the guy a call to rearrange times. He called her and left a message about rescheduling, but she never responded. This is what I have to deal with all the time. I'm trying to eliminate the shitty customers and work with the nice ones. I don't mind working with people who have very little money, as long as they're nice. Being nice makes all the difference. I will bend over backwards to accommodate nice friendly people.

I spent most of today in bed, I feel kinda sick and dizzy. My head feels clouded and drowsy, but I got plenty of sleep, so what's wrong with me?

Worked, Shopped, and Bitched.

I'm glad that I'm starting to blog more often now. Sometimes when my life is going good I don't blog that much. Really, I only blog when my life blows and I have no one else to talk to about the mundane, boring, and yet oh-so-annoying stuff. Right now the bf is playing Call of Duty - Modern Warfare. I'm at his house, hanging out. His birthday is coming up, so I took him shopping and bought him something he really wanted. He's so cute in that he loves kitchen supplies. He's probably the oddest/sweetest guy I've ever met. The only unfortunate thing is that he bought his house with his brother. I'm not 100% comfortable at his house, since the brother and bro's gf live there too. I have nothing against the brother, he seems like a decent guy. The gf on the other hand is barely tolerable. She's crass, but not in a funny way (because if it was funny it would totally be acceptable in my book). To make matters worse, she's thinks she's the authority on everything. That's gotta be my biggest pet peeve. There were other people that I've met like that too... and it's always cringe-worthy.

Lolita Love

I bought this adorable short sleeve white ruffled top on Bodyline. It's well made, affordable, and very cute. Recently I've purchased a few other things on Body line as well.
A long sleeve white shirred blouse - it's a bit big on me. But now I know the sizing a bit better.
A JSK (jumperskirt?) with cute cherry print on black. I love the fabric, it's thick and with some quality to it.
A pair of black heels with bows. They're size 7 to 7.5, which is a big for me, but it looks okay. I might get a white pair in a size smaller.
A pink stripe version of this green candy print skirt. I couldn't find the pink stripe picture to link to. Here's the blue stripe candy skirt.
And finally, a blue vintage rose print skirt.

And just today, I went to Forever21 to check out a grey ruffle pleated dress coat I saw online. It was in the store! So I tried it on and it was so adorable. It's "Forever 21 Twist" brand, which I think is some reference to ballerina and disco fashion.
I also bought two thin headbands. I can't find the exact pictures. One was white version of this black thin stiff ribbon bow headband. The other was black with black rose, ribbon, and mesh, kinda like this headband but not exactly the same. There were so many hair accessories to choose from, but the most important thing to me was comfort. I always get a headache from too tight headbands. Gah.
I also bought this adorable oversized rhinestone encrusted bow ring! It is huge, sparkly, and has a small band size, so I can actually wear it. :) So happy!

I'm looking forward to wearing my outfits soon! Now I just need a cute black blouse and some handknit lace knee high socks and I'll be set!

Craft Queue

There are a couple things that I want to make for myself.  They aren't current patterns on Ravelry or anything.  I wanted to jot them down here so I can remember to make them.  Most of the items are lolita-style ideas that have been turning around cooking in my head.

1. ruffled long sleeve bolero
2. heart intarsia cardigan
3. bow intarsia cardigan
4. need some heart or bow graphs

Bodyline Order Rec'd

Woooot!  I got my Bodyline order in 2 days!  They are so fast.  Instant gratification has never been so awesome.  I tried on all my clothes.  The JSK is adorable.  I'm not sure how I'm going to tie the bow in the back, may need to do that before I put the JSK on.  Then I tried on the skirt.  It is a bit tight, but it fits (need to watch my weight for this one).  The material quality is pretty good.  The long sleeve shirt is pretty big.  The short sleeve shirt is tight around the bust.  I'll have to remember the sizings.

Now I'm on the site and checking out some other stuff

Bodyline

Just made my first order from Bodyline.  I bought a cute JSK in black, a long sleeved white blouse, a short sleeved white blouse, and a pink striped skirt.  It definitely pays to keep checking that site every chance you get because the prices are so cheap and the inventory seems to change daily.  I'll see how the clothes fit and if they are of any quality.  Then I will order more later this month.  I am excited.  I've always just made my own loli-wear.  I know some of the brand names are pretty pricey, but who here knows the difference?  Plus as long as you're cute, you can look hot wearing a burlap sack.  I've lost about 5 lbs, so I'm happy to keep working in that direction and lose some more weight.  I think having alot of work to do keeps me from eating that much.  It's a good thing.  Everyone likes a paycheck.  :)
